Salsa Mambo Showdown

Presented at the 10th Annual Las Vegas Salsa Congress July 4th-July 7th , 2013

 

2013 will be our third class of the Salsa/Mambo Showdown. This is an excellent opportunity to train with who we feel are two of the absolute best ON1 and ON2 dancers in the world in Fernando Sosa of Tropical Gem and Osmar Perrones of Yamulee. Your training will be intense and allot of hard work, but will be an experience you will never forget. It is important that you train hard as you will be performing this routine Sunday July 7th, 2013 in front of the entire Las Vegas Salsa Congress. We would not have picked your video unless we thought you could be a professional on stage and pick up choreography and style quickly.

Below is a schedule that will have to be followed and timeliness is extremely important. You can NOT be late to rehearsals as we have six couples on each team and if you are not there or late your partner will suffer.

Team Osmar Perrones schedule:

Wednesday July 3rd, 2013

There will be a shuttle at the Valet of the Tropicana Hotel and Casino at 11:15 A.M. for Team Perrones it is advised that you show up early. You will be taken to a dance studio to practice from 12 noon until 4:30 P.M.

Thursday July 4th, 2013

At 9:00 A.M. you will practice in the Cohiba Ballroom inside the Tropicana Hotel until on or before 2 P.M.

Friday July 5th , 2013

At 2:00 P.M. in the Cohiba Ballroom inside the Tropicana Hotel you will practice until 3:00 P.M.

Saturday July 6th, 2013

At 11:00 A.M. in the Cohiba Ballroom inside the Tropicana Hotel you will practice until 12:00 P.M. noon.

Sunday July 7th, 2013

Team Fernando Sosa schedule:

Wednesday July 3rd, 2013

There will be a shuttle at the Valet of the Tropicana Hotel and Casino at 3:45 P.M. for Team Sosa it is advised that you show up early. You will be taken to a dance studio to practice from 4:30 P.M. until 9 P.M.

Thursday July 4th , 2013

At 2:00 P.M. you will practice in the Cohiba Ballroom inside the Tropicana Hotel until on or before 7 P.M.

Friday July 5th , 2013

At 1:00 P.M. in the Cohiba Ballroom inside the Tropicana Hotel you will practice until 2:00 P.M.

Saturday July 6th , 2013

At 12:00 P.M. noon in the Cohiba Ballroom inside the Tropicana Hotel you will practice until 1:00 P.M. noon

Sunday July 7th , 2013

Overview:
Have you ever wanted to dance in one of the BEST salsa dance companies in the world? Well here’s your chance. Fernando Sosa of Tropical Gem and Osmar Perrones of Yamulee will choreograph roughly a 2 minute routine to teach to a select number of dancers. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to not only learn, but perform a routine choreographed by two of the best dancers in the world.


The Salsa Mambo Showdown Package consist of the following:
12-16 hours of practice time learning a Fernando Sosa or Osmar Perrones routine.
A full congress pass to the 10th Annual Las Vegas Salsa Congress 4th of July weekend ( $250 value)
VIP seating at the 10th Annual Las Vegas Salsa Congress ( $60 value )
You will then perform the routine you learned on Sunday July 7th, 2013
